These loops can be used loose to mount on fly lines using silicone tube as shown below or they can be made on braided backing and braided leaders to use for connecting to fly lines

Ferrules fit well enough to fish the rod but would recommend mounting a new set of original Orvis ferrules(I can provide a set for $40.) and would be happy to recommend a good restorer to do the work at reasonable cost
